Our Mission: To provide a safe haven of healing and wellness that serves each individual in the spirit of kindness, dignity and excellence.

Known throughout California and beyond, Delano Regional Medical Center (DRMC) is a full-service community and regional teaching hospital. DRMC serves a region of 10 rural central California towns and is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. With a total of 156 beds, DRMC is a not-for-profit hospital with services including an Intensive Care Unit, a Sub-Acute Care Unit, a Medical Surgical Unit and an Obstetrics/Gynecology Unit.

With over 100 physicians on the hospital’s active medical staff and additional courtesy or consulting physicians, patients are assured of receiving high-quality care in multiple specialties. DRMC’s physicians are skilled in the most advanced procedures and technology, and provide personalized patient care in a warm and caring environment.

DRMC is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP).

HFAP, recognized nationally by the federal government, state governments, insurance carriers and managed care organizations, has been accrediting health care facilities for more than 60 years. Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, HFAP is one of only two national voluntary accreditation programs with "Deeming Authority" from the Health Care Financing Administration of the Federal Government to accredit hospitals and their clinical laboratories. Accreditation by HFAP demonstrates that a health care facility has met the standards set forth by HFAP to provide high quality care and compliance with governmental regulations.

DRMC opened its doors on January 17, 1974 as Delano Community Hospital. Over the past 20-plus years, DRMC has grown in both size and technological expertise. Expansions in key departments have been the norm for the hospital. In 1994 a 20,000-square foot wing addition allowed DRMC to add 30 additional beds for acute care, including a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit as well as an enlarged inpatient laboratory and pharmacy department. Recent expansions have included adding a 64-slice CT and new MRI in the radiology department, and increasing the number of pediatric beds within the hospital. A hospitalist specializing in pediatrics is available 24-hours a day.

Delano Regional Medical Center will continue its record of looking ahead to grow in order to meet future challenges and to meet the health care needs of the communities that it serves. This will be accomplished by fulfilling its mission of providing a safe haven of healing and wellness that services each individual in the spirit of kindness, dignity and excellence.
