PUBLIC MEETING ON THE PROPOSED CHANGE IN CONTROL AND GOVERNANCE OF DELANO REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

The California Attorney General is reviewing the proposed change in control and governance of Delano Regional Medical Center, a 156-licensed bed general acute care hospital in Delano, California.  The “Affiliation Agreement” is between Adventist Health System/West, a California nonprofit religious corporation, and Central California Foundation for Health, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation.  The transaction is being reviewed as required by Corporations Code sections 5920 et seq.  The terms of the proposed transaction are set forth in the written notice submitted to the California Attorney General.  The written notice is available on Delano Regional Medical Center’s website at http://www.drmc.com/home/public-notice-march-18-2019.php

 

The California Attorney General will conduct a public meeting on May 10, 2019, beginning at 11:00 a.m., in the Zacharias Center of the Administration Building at Delano Regional Medical Center located at 1401 Garces Highway, Delano, CA 93215.  The purpose of the public meeting is to receive comments on the proposed change in control and governance of Delano Regional Medical Center and to consider the Health Care Impact Statement for Delano Regional Medical Center prepared by consultants engaged by the California Attorney General.  Prior to the public meeting, the Health Care Impact Statement will be available on the California Attorney General’s website at http://www.oag.ca.gov/charities/nonprofithosp.

REUNIÓN PÚBLICA SOBRE EL CAMBIO PROPUESTO EN EL CONTROL Y GOBIERNO DE DELANO REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

El Procurador General de California está revisando el cambio propuesto en el control y gobierno de Delano Regional Medical Center, un hospital general de cuidado agudos con 156 camas en Delano, California. El “Acuerdo de Afiliación” es entre Adventist Health System/West, una corporación religiosa sin fines de lucro de California, y Central California Foundation for Health, una corporación de beneficio público sin fines de lucro de California. La transacción se está revisando como lo exigen las secciones 5920 y subsiguientes del Código de Corporaciones. Los términos de la transacción propuesta se establecen en la notificación por escrito enviada al Procurador General de California. La notificacion por escrito está disponible en el sitio web de Delano Regional Medical Center en http://www.drmc.com/home/public-notice-march-18-2019.php

 

El Procurador General de California llevará a cabo una reunión pública el 10 mayo de 2019, a partir de la 11:00 a.m., en el Centro Zacharias del Edificio de Administración en Delano Regional Medical Center ubicado en 1401 Garces Highway, Delano, CA 93215. El propósito de  la reunión pública es recibir comentarios sobre el cambio propuesto en el control y gobierno de Delano Regional Medical Center y para considerar la Declaración de Impacto en el Cuidado de Salud para Delano Regional Medical Center preparada por consultores contratados por el Procurador General de California. Antes de la reunión pública, la Declaración de Impacto de Cuidado de Salud estará disponible en el sitio web del Procurador General de California en http://www.oag.ca.gov/charities/nonprofithosp.
